Amazon Prime is the new trendsetter of 2018. It’s time to move on from Hotstar and Netflix to Amazon Prime. The best thing about Amazon prime is that it has something in store for everyone. There are even shows on Amazon prime that Netflix or Hotstar do not have. There are huge benefits if you subscribe to prime where you can view all your favourite shows a million number of times and even download them or add it to your watch list. I have listed down my all-time favourite TV shows on Amazon Prime.
ROSEANNE

This was the first American sitcom to show the blue-collar American family, where both the parents work outside. The show was praised by all the viewers and that’s the reason for its comeback after 20 years on Amazon prime.

The story revolves around the relationship between a special FBI investigation officer and a forensic psychiatrist, who is destined to become FBI officer’s enemy and also the only one who can understand him at the same time. The series was critically acclaimed and was praised by everyone for its visual style. FBI officer is being recruited to investigate a murderer in Minnesota. Crawford decides to appoint a psychiatrist for the officer who turns out to be a serial killer and works within the FBI. As the season ends, both the officer and the psychiatrist become good friends.

Sex and the city Is an American rom-com drama which was created by Darren Star for HBO channel. The show was loved by its viewers for all 6 season and was also critically praised by jury. The show was filmed in New York City and was based on a book called Candace Bushnell. The show is based on a group of 4 women who are in their mid-thirties and have very different lives from each other but still are inseparable from each other. The story had tackled modern issues of the society like sexuality, safe sex, and feminist, while friendship and relationship being the main storyline between these 4 ladies. The director wanted to portray 4 different stories of these ladies who have one thing in common and their friendship which is above all other things. Sex and the city is one of the best ever shows on not only Amazon prime but also on the other networks.

The good wife is an American legal and political drama series which was aired on CBS network and was created by Robert King. The Good wife was particularly loved by all female watchers and the law community of America. The good wife belonged to the completely different genre from the other television shows which are mentioned above. Juliana plays the main lead of Alicia Florrick and the story begins with Alicia’s public humiliation and her husband who is a lawyer cheats on her. Alicia returns back to her work and the twist here is that she is not the typical “the good wife” character. Each episode contains political drama with family intrigue and legal cases.
The show contains a lot of guests during all seven seasons where the guests weave in and out of Alicia’s life just like they would have been in real life. Many shows start to fade after the first or second season, but the good wife had a hold of its viewers till the final episode.

Transparent is a very different story which actually portrays a very important gender of the society which has been neglected for a very long time. The story goes like where an elderly parent of the family decides to reveal her transgender to her children and other family members. Transparent reveals each character of family and how they react to this situation whether in a good or a bad way. Transparent has won Golden Globe Awards in the category of best TV comedy show in 2016.
