Vivegam Storyline: Ajith leads the anti-terrorist squad with the talented actor Vivek Oberoi and few others. Ajith and his team were on a mission to trace the untraceable hacker before she destroys more. The powerful and focused team find her, but that’s not the end. They also get their hands on a weapon drive. Because of its destructive powers, this drive is coveted by nations. This awakens the heroism in Ajith and tries to save her. But in all this, he further falls into a trap himself. Will he be able to save the world from getting destroyed? Will he be able to find out that his own friends (so-called) set the trap for him? Will he even survive? Let’s find out.
Vivegam Review: Ajith Kumar, returned on screen with Vivegam after two years. It is quite obvious that this movie has something different to offer. Ajith has gone all out with Vivegam to do complete justice to the role. His entry screen was good enough for the audience to know that the movie is only about to get better. We have always seen Ajith as this massy hero but this time, he offers us a look of an international spy with a perfectly built body and the jaw-dropping six pack abs. He delivered every dialogue with power and won the fan all over again but gained a few new ones. Kajal Aggarwal and Akshara Haasan embraced the role as their own and did complete justice to it. Vivek Oberoi’s character was well written and well played who turned from a friend to an enemy. The actors for this movie were perfectly casted.
Talking about the direction, Siva has gone up many notches when it comes to the direction and the locations. This movie is nothing like his other two releases. The locations were so breath-taking that apart from the actors and story, you will remember the locations of the movie. The cinematography is at par excellence. The music director has done complete justice with the music for this movie.
Vivegam Verdict: Vivegam is a total action packed entertainer with the international feel to it with excellent background music. However, the movie claimed to be an international spy movie standard, we could clearly find the over the top massy things in few scenes. Justice is done but the movie could have been much better. If you go for the movie, do not apply logic to every scene and just enjoy the movie as an Ajith movie. My suggestion is for you is to watch the movie for the attempt of this director-actor duo to try something they never have. I would give this movie 3 Stars.
