What’s New on Disney+ (August 2020)

 

In this time of the pandemic, Disney is briskly strengthening the content on its widely popular Disney+ with some big-time hits. This streaming service has been keeping us entertained and refreshed with its engaging content. With the growing content on the Disney plus platform, we have scheduled the segregated list for the viewers on what’s new on Disney+ for august 2020.

In the coming month, from the club of Disney plus empire – Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel, National Geographic and Disney’s studio and library are going to come up with a prominent list of films and amusement for you all. From being the parent streaming platform of Hulu and ESPN, Disney’s recent purchase of 20th Century Fox is going to be a sensation. While Disney plus focus on enjoying with family in its brand, the subscribers will have access to tons of amusement. From unleashing “Frozen two” to “Hamilton” previous month, August is all about Disney plus new releases. 

The two exclusive originals films include, first “The One and Only Ivan”. An adaptation of the best selling novel by Katherine Applegate. The book revolves around the hybrid live story of a pleasant gorilla. This film is set to release on August 14th starring Sam Rockwell, as the voice of Ivan. This pleasing film will melt your heart with tales of friendship and loyalty. And the second one is “Howard. A documentary on the life of Howard Ashman, who was the greatest asset of Disney, and produced some unsung lyrics which benchmarks the Disney timeless hits like Aladdin, Beauty And The Beast and The Little Mermaid, scheduled to release on August 7th. 

August 7th is also the day for the Star Wars fans to indulge in the star war thirst by catching a documentary about Disneyland’s new “Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge: Adventure Awaits”.  People go behind the scenes to learn how the new planet of Batuu came to life.

Notably, for the fans of 20th Century Fox’s Marvel, “X-Men” hitting on August 7th, and soon after that “Ant-Man And The Wasp” on August 14th. Both the films are not going to be cinematically & technically the same as their parent company but will have more pleasurable broadcast. Or you can gawk at the depressing Marvel Comics superhero team’s “Fantastic Four “Movie from the 2015’s archive releasing on August 28th. 

Although, The original film, “Phineas And Ferb and The Movie: Candace Against the Universe”, will be the sequel and first of its kind to be premiered on the platform online. Releasing on August 28th. The film revolves around the rescue of Ferb’s beloved sister Candace from the aliens who abducted her. The film is sure shot going to be amazing.

 And the good news for the TV series, finally! every Friday in August marks the occurrence of a fresh episode of Disney’s new “Muppets Now” series. And Along with that, National Geographic is also coming with the fresh season of “Weird But true!” So, hold tight and start binging. 

While most people know Hugh Jackman for playing Wolverine for over nearly two decades. Now he has also debuted in Disney plus with its prominent credits, “The Greatest Showman”.  Fox’s historical drama is a story of a misfit who forms a rag-tag team and creates a traveling circus. It has an irresistible mixture of awe-inspiring songs and mesmerizing visuals. Set to release on August 14th. It is surely going to a bang!

While more action, singing and dancing can be witnessed from the 2017’s. The admirable yet slightly less adventurous film and more of the desirable remake of, “Beauty And The Beast”, starring Emma Watson will be dropping on the platform on August 21st.

A one-big advantage for Disney Plus is that it has a massive library of content that can be drawn upon to fill its services immediately while it pursues to add fresh content to the list. Being the young platform (Deputing in November 2019) its quickly becoming the most popular streaming services with a wide range of content floating in the market. Having more than 50 million subscribers, with 8 million of those coming from India, Disney plus will not leave a stone unturned in making its name in the top streaming platforms and becoming a household name soon.

And, With that Disney, is continuing to expand the list of original and exclusive content for its live-stream service. With the August schedule out, the subscribers have the top titles to mark their favorites.
