Netflix Release Dates 2020 – Top Picks for this Year

1. Lucifer

Release date-21st August

What it is:-  The long-awaited fifth season of Lucifer is now only weeks away, and the next chapter pits our charming devil against his greatest challenge yet: a devious twin brother.

Why should we watch it: The trailer hints a clue that Chloe is probably not doing well after Lucifer departs.

It’s then said that Lucifer is acting differently, but that’s because he is. The trailer reveals that Lucifer is not himself because it’s his twin brother, Michael. Michael said he’s not only come to Earth to replace but also destroy Lucifer’s previous life.

The trailer finishes with the two brothers battling it out. That has to be pretty interesting and exciting for viewers.

Critics Review: The first season complimented mixed reviews from critics, though subsequent seasons were better rated. Many critics particularly praised Ellis’ performance. Despite initially high viewership and hype for its debut, ratings remained consistently low throughout the series’ run on Fox. The fourth season also received high ratings… Fox initially canceled Lucifer after three seasons; a month later, Netflix picked up the series. Netflix has renewed the series for a fifth season of 16 episodes, the first half being released on August 21, 2020. Although the fifth season was reported initially to be the end in June 2020, the series has been renewed for the final season.

3. Criminal season 2

Release date-16th September

What is it:- Criminal is a series of four police procedural anthology TV series released in the Netflix platform, which was set in four countries, each consisting of three episodes. The four series have Criminal set countries: France, Germany, Spain, and the UK. The series was planned by its showrunners George Kay and Jim Field Smith, and produced by their company Idiotlamp Productions.

Although the showrunners are based in the UK, the local three-part series is written and performed in that country’s native language by native actors, but all four individual local series was shot on the same set in Madrid, Spain. All four series were released consequently in September 2019.

Each episode is filled with stand-alone psychological drama, consisting of the interrogation of an individual by a team of police investigators. All twelve episodes are focused on having three areas in a single location, such as a police interrogation room, a darkened viewing room that projects into the interrogation room through a one-way mirror, the hallway and stairwell outside the rooms.

Why should we watch it:– Every Criminal episode stands on its own. Meaning, Netflix streamers can begin anywhere in the series order and not feel incompleteness of the story, but the best Criminal watch order is the UK, France, Spain, and then Germany.
