Love and Monsters Review: What is it About?
The movie starring Dylan O’Brien and Jessica Henwick, “Love and Monsters” is an adventure packed film with monsters and a beautiful love story. The story is set up seven years after a monster apocalypse.
On account of the fallout of a giant asteroid and unusually, super-sized creatures rising afterward, most of the population of the Earth has been wiped out of existence. A few who managed to escape and take cover underground survived and live deep inside the shelter of Earth to save themselves from the monsters.
Joel Dawson has lost everyone dear to him and has no means of contact with his lost girlfriend, Aimee. He has been trying to reconnect with her via a radio in hopes of finding her alive one day. All his hopes are turned into reality one fine day. He realizes his girlfriend had taken shelter in a colony. The colony was near a beach that was 85 miles away from the one he was residing in himself.
Joel lets go of all the logic and despite objections from his colony members, he ventures out in the monstrous wilds to get to the love of his life. In his journey, Joel encounters the dangerous man-eating monsters. He makes friends with a dog named Boy who accompanies him till the end.
While on the go he meets Clyde and Minnow who becomes his friends and gives him a guide on how to survive in the wild between all the monsters.

Paramount Pictures announced the making of a film named “Monster Problems”. It was described as a post-apocalyptic movie along with a love story.
In 2018, it was made clear that the movie would be made with the Maze Runner actor Dylan O’Brien and by 2019 the full cast was set to step foot into the production of the movie.

Performance
The newly released movie is worth the watch. Dylan O’Brien’s portrayal of Joel Dawson is significantly appreciable. The movie has successfully his charms on screen. His fun way of playing a character is prominent in the film.
It is said that the dog which Joel carries around was only allowed to be with Dylan O’Brien. Owing to this, the connection onscreen of Joel with the dog is one of the best parts of the movie. There is no point to say that the connection they show is not true in any way.
Ariana Greenblatt’s portrayal of the little Minnow is exceptional. Her acting as the character has brought Minnow to life throughout the movie. The emotions she portrayed looks nowhere close to acting. It feels real with the way she has marked her steps.
