Chameli ki shadi is a story adapted from a novel by O.P. Sharma is a very different kind of film. The characters from the movie, Charandas(Anil Kapoor), Chameli(Amrita Singh), advocate Harish(Amjad Khan), Ustad Mastram Pahelwan(Om Prakash), and Kallumal ‘Koylewalla’ (Pankaj Kapoor) as Chameli’s father stayed in people’s hearts for forever. The movie is full of fun and entertainment around Chameli’s marriage.

2. Dulhe Raja
Dulhe Raja became one of its kind of movies in this genre. You cannot skip watching this movie because it has been aired so many times on Television too. It is one heck of a movie with complete entertainment and ‘paisa vasool’/ Kadar khan and Govinda have given a lot of comedy sequences in the movie that will leave you laughing throughout the movie.

3. Hera pheri
Hera Pheri needs no introduction, though it is a remake of a Malayalam movie. To call this one a rib-tickling and hilarious film would be an understatement. Fun down to the last millisecond.Directed by: Priyadarshan

4. Munnabhai MBBS
Who thought a medical set up movie could be a comedy movie. Surprisingly, it turned out to be a classical comedy movie with Munna Bhai and Circuit’s amazing dialogue delivery. It was never marketed as a comedy film; turned out to be a surprising comedy film. It is unusual to expect comedy from Sanjay Dutt, hence the film has a lot of surprises.

5. Lage Raho Munnabhai
The sequel was done equally well by Sanjay Dutt as Munna. A well-written story that will hold you by the awe of its simplicity and beautiful screenplay. Munna is in love with the voice of a radio jockey, Jhanvi(Vidya Balan), and puts all effort to impress her in a contest on the life of Mahatma Gandhi. Where to watch: Netflix

6. Bheja fry
This is a remake of a French movie. A low budget film but a huge success at the box office. The plot is comic and keeps you glued to know how much more Vinay Pathak can screw things up! All credits to the brilliance performances from Rajat Kapoor and Vinay Pathak.

7. 3 idiots
First, of its kind, this film has used humor in the most positive way to convey a lesser-known truth of society. Students are burdened with the pressure of performing well in their academics and that causes a lot of havoc in their lives. Every scene is better than the previous one, you’ll just have to watch to find out what that looks like.

8. Elf
Elf is a Christmas classic, charming and funny in all aspects. Will Ferrell Will Ferrell plays the role of Buddy the Elf, a human who’s been raised by elves in the North Pole and now sets out to find his biological father in New York City. It’s also just tremendously rewatchable

10. Young adult
A dark comedy that tilts full into dark drama. Every element is finely tuned to a pitch that maintains steady, dry laughs. Jason Reitman‘s wonderful direction, Patrick Wilson, Patton Oswalt, and especially Charlize’s impeccable performance has kept the film high class.

11. The spy who dumped me
Well, not aligning with the title, The spy who dumped me is a globe-trotting action-comedy that went far too underappreciated when it was released in theatres. Cashier Audrey Stockman (Mila Kunis) and her roommate Morgan (Kate McKinnon) are drawn into an international game of espionage when Audrey discovers her recently-ex boyfriend (Justin Theroux) is a spy who left some highly-classified information in their apartment. The movie is surprisingly funny and will keep you hooked on it.
