The sensational mates have been getting a lot of appreciation from and outside the industry. Too much admired by the audience, the show recently came on the top list on Netflix India. Masaba Masaba Review: Too Hot to be Messy
Masaba, an independent designer with a brand label Masaba, a talented and successful women, plays the character of her own, you can’t deny falling in love. Little Masaba, played by Amariah Awantaye, has been a true pleasure to the eyes. On the other, Neena Gupta, playing the role of her mother, a single mother, a “national-award” winner, living life on her terms still holds the same energy towards the auditions and works.

The stunning come back to lights, camera, action always lit up the frame each time we see her taking her life differently. The makers had tried hard to present a show in a very different manner. Not a biopic, a docu-series or fictional content, the show is something you cannot leave in the middle.
It has been gaining enough support and recognition which is why Netflix thought to bring these two dynamic women together on screen.
The six-episode series Masaba Masaba is well directed by Sonam Nair, written by Nandini Gupta, Sonam Nair, and Anupama Ramachandran. Inspired from the mother-daughter real life, the screenplay and dialogues are by Punya Arora. Playing the fictionalized characters in the show, both Masaba and Neena Gupta’s life has been much in the public domain. As it turned upside down initially in real life, is exactly portrayed in the series.
The show revolves around the fictitious version of the daughter-mother duo, though heavily inspired by their own lives. The show showcases the real journey of both the actresses. Neena Gupta, who got divorced early but later achieved the heights in Hindi cinema. There are other prominent characters in the show, which has to steal the warmth of the show.

Masaba’s best friend, Jia Irani, played by Rytasha Rathore, who is the new investor and a new mind to come to start her father’s extended business turning it into a bar. The show has also marked a lot of cameos. Kiara Advani, who visits the Masaba store to buy the dress for her Swachh Bharat Abhiyan gig.
Pooja Bedi, Masaba’s life coach had taken enough attention and had marked to be on the perfect timing. Shibani Dandekar, although has come for a very small role, had convincingly marked her appearance. Among them, Malavika Mohanan, who is a paranoid diva who cannot get her things right while being the showstopper at Masaba’s fashion show.
Farah Khan, who is strongly fantasizing herself for her next ‘Sheila Ki Jawani.’ Gajraj Rao, while sharing the small scene of “Badhai Ho” titled Khushkhabri in the show. And Mithila Palkar, sharing the dance-off is not only a fun element but it also uplifts the issue of older women at work, and how they are looked upon in the industry.
The whole song is just to bring a fun element while addressing the issue of women who aren’t allowed to express themselves while she is type cast as aunty. Completly in a humorous way, the song is a total treat to watch both dancing and grooving. Neil Bhoopalam, urf Dhairya, turning her life hell as he had been the investor for her latest collection and had been on her head for more than normal time.
Instagram, playing a very indispensable role in Masaba’s life is portrayed in the series. Be it big or small news, she is witty on her social media handle. Since the first scene, she is shown devastated and broke off her decision of getting separated from her husband, which she intended to share with the public via a post on her Instagram handle and so on in life.

When she starts to live off her own, the new house is later noticed by her mother via her post, after they had a conflict regarding an issue. The show has also marked a lot of cameos.
